How to Set Up a Manual Action in a Workflow

In this guide, we’ll walk through the steps of setting up a manual action within a workflow, using a pipeline stage change as a trigger.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Go to Automations

• Start by creating a new workflow from scratch.

2. Choose the Trigger

• For this example, we will use a pipeline stage change as the trigger.

• Select the pipeline stage that you want to trigger the manual action.

• In this case, we’ll choose the MY SELLERS pipeline, and the specific stage will be Hot Seller Lead.

3. Configure the Trigger

• When a lead is moved into the Hot Lead stage (or becomes an opportunity), this will trigger a manual action for the user to contact the lead and attempt to book them.

• Click Save Trigger to confirm.

4. Add the Manual Action

• After setting the trigger, add a manual action.

• Be sure to save your changes.

• What happens now is that when the pipeline stage changes to “Hot Lead,” a manual action will be added for the assigned user to follow up with the lead.

5. Publish the Workflow

• Make sure to publish your workflow changes before continuing.

6. View Manual Actions

• Once the workflow is active, go to the Conversations section. Under Manual Actions (Dialer), you will see the leads that have been assigned to a user for follow-up.

• Users can now click Start to initiate contact with the lead.

7. Filtering and Assignment

• You can filter manual actions as needed.

• If user assignment is enabled, only the assigned user will see the manual action.

Conclusion:

This workflow setup allows users to be notified and assigned manual actions when a lead enters a specific stage in the pipeline. Make sure to save and publish your workflow before expecting it to function.
